Our preschool was established over 70 years ago. Our program is inclusive of all faiths and is not a religious program. We are licensed through the State of California and operate as a developmental program. The main purpose of our school is to provide quality enrichment and education on the preschool level. We believe everything a young child is exposed to becomes a part of their education, and that a developmental approach is best for children to develop a solid foundation for their educational future.
Our Parent/Toddler Program is designed for children 15 months of age and older to attend one day a week with his/her parent. It is offered five days per week from 9:00am to 11:00am. The program begins in September and runs through the end of May. We also have a summer program that runs two days a week for six weeks.
The Toddler Program is designed as a "mini" preschool session. It is a time for you and the families to interact together. This class gives the children a chance to be introduced to the fundamentals of what preschool is all about. This is also a great opportunity for children to become familiar with the preschool, which helps alleviate separation anxiety when they begin attending on their own. It is through the Parent/Toddler Program that children learn the social skills necessary to make successful preschoolers. Toddler teachers also use this time to help educate the parents on child development topics through shared articles and discussions.
Currently, we are hiring a TODDLER PRESCHOOL TEACHER to work with children ages 15 months through 2.5 years of age. Applicant must hold a certificate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education units and have at least three years of experience. Also, applicant must possess a positive attitude, strong leadership and great work ethic. The hours are from 8:30 to 11:30 Monday through Friday with opportunities for additional hours.
Applicants should be prepared to submit an unofficial transcript along with their resume.
