The Caedmon School seeks a First-grade, Elementary Head teacher for the 2020-20121 school year, who will work very closely with the Lower Level/ First and Second Grade Team. The Caedmon School is planning for in-person, live teaching, with proper health protocols in place, but remains nimble and ready to move to an online learning platform. Flexibility and a strong sense of online learning tools are vital skills for the positon

Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and thoughtfulness in both lesson planning and in relating to students and families
A demonstrable dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion in curriculum planning and work with students and families
Master's degree required
2-3 years lead teaching experience required
A knowledge of, and respect for, Montessori philosophy is highly valued but not required.
Teach lessons in Math, Writing, Reading, and Social Studies
Plan and work closely with grade level team and Division Director
Conduct family conferences and write narrative reports twice a year
Attend all faculty meetings; participate in one Task Force each year
Meet with administration twice per week about student growth and curriculum
