The Waldorf School of Philadelphia is seeking a consultant who is an expert in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to support our community as we take our next steps toward becoming an inclusive, diverse and diversity-responsive, anti-racist institution.
The ideal candidate:
is an experienced trainer and community builder
understands the culture of independent schools
is a skilled communicator adept at building rapport with diverse community members, including children
will commit to working with us for approximately 3-5 months, starting August, 2020
In collaboration with school leadership, tasks include:
Develop, conduct, analyze, and share the results of an equity inventory/climate assessment and recommend a plan of action based on the results
Create a job description, and help us conduct a search, for a part-time DEI Officer to join our school this fall
Offer trainings for and hold conversations with the community, including faculty, staff, students, parents
Provide strategy and accountability sessions for school leadership.
