The Caedmon School seeks an Elementary Fourth grade Co-Head teacher for the Fall Semester (September through January) of the 2020-20121 school year. In accordance with our Mission Statement, we seek candidates first who cherish and love children; model what is expected of our students ethically, academically, and socially; demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning; possess the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be an enthusiastic innovator; and live with a deep sensitivity and respect for others.The ideal candidate understands the role of teacher as a facilitator of student inquiry and the importance of a carefully prepared learning environment.
The Caedmon School is planning for in-person, live teaching, with proper health protocols in place, but remains nimble and ready to move to an online learning platform. Flexibility and a strong sense of online learning tools are vital skills for the positon.
Teach lessons in Math, Writing, Reading, and Social Studies
Plan and work closely with grade level team and Division Director
Conduct family conferences and write narrative reports twice a year
Attend all faculty meetings; participate in one Task Force each year
Meet with administration twice per week about student growth and curriculum
