The Ramaz Middle School has a one-year opening for a 5th-Grade English Teacher beginning in the 2020 school year.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Working with a co-teacher to teach all aspects of literature, writing, vocabulary, and grammar to middle school students
Amending and developing the curriculum
Providing individualized support to students as necessary
Helping students grow as critical writers and thinkers
Maintaining accurate records of student performance and writing report cards, including detailed narrative reports
Attending weekly department and division meetings, as well as school-related activities, including occasional evening and weekend programs
Demonstrating a commitment to professional growth through collaboration with colleagues and attending workshops

Undergraduate degree (required) and master’s degree (preferred) in English or education
At least three years of experience teaching English, preferably at the middle school level
Familiarity with technology in English instruction
A genuine enthusiasm for teaching middle school students
The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues about student learning and growth
