Germantown Academy, a coeducational PreK-12 independent school with 1,100 students in Fort Washington, PA (suburban Philadelphia), is seeking part-time, dynamic Virtual Teachers to work with small groups (3-10 students) of kindergarten, first, or second grade students in reading and math (daily) and social studies (once/week). These positions start in September 2020 and will be paid $150/day. The workday begins at 8:30AM and ends at 1:15PM and includes planning and communications time during the day. These positions will run and be paid only when in-person school is in session at Germantown Academy.

The Lower School Virtual Teacher is a part-time, instructional position. The Virtual Teacher plans and executes the literacy (reading, writing, word study) and math curricula daily, and 1 social studies lesson/week with either kindergarten, 1st grade, or 2nd grade students in small groups (5-10). All curriculum materials and guidance from curriculum specialists will be provided. The Virtual Teacher is responsible for supporting program, assessment, parent communication, and progress reporting for students doing extended virtual school. The Virtual Teacher may work from home and attends occasional meetings as needed.
4 year college degree required; degree in elementary or early childhood education preferred

Strong skills in using technology to support communications -google apps, Microsoft office, web-based applications
