MARK Catholic School is searching for a Special Education Teacher to join our team of educators.
You will be an important part of the Student Support Services team, and will be responsible for providing in-class support and small group instruction to K-8 students with a variety of learning disabilities. You will collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate, modify, and support existing curriculum and ensure that students’ classroom and testing accommodations are being met. You will also write Student Assistance Plans tailored to each student’s learning needs and communicate with parents and faculty on a regular basis regarding student progress. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Degree or certification in special education
Strong proponent of inclusion
Comfortable providing in-class support and pull-out instruction for small groups
Able to collaborate with general education and special education teachers
Experience as a special education teacher or similar role
Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
