The Benedictine Schools of Richmond seek an innovative, collaborative, and experienced part-time Spanish Teacher to teach Spanish I and IV.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach two college preparatory courses of Spanish I, and one honors course of Spanish IV. One class of Spanish I is offered by Benedictine College Preparatory. The remaining Spanish courses are offered by Saint Gertrude High School. Beginning July 2020, both schools are located on the same campus.
Instruct students in Spanish language and culture
Support the mission of the schools, model the Benedictine values, and actively work toward department-specific goals and vision
Utilize the school’s LMS, including Open Gradebook, to post assignments, units of study, and related course materials to support student self-initiative and self-advocacy
Assume standard responsibilities assigned to all faculty at the Benedictine Schools of Richmond in furtherance of our commitment to the value of community
This is a ten-month teaching position and faculty report to work in mid-August 2020

Valid Virginia Teaching License in Spanish, Secondary level
Demonstrated understanding of pedagogy and effective methods of classroom instruction
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Google Apps for Education and teaching in a 1:1 environment experience preferred
