Georgetown Day School, an independent Pre-K-12 school located in Washington, D.C., seeks two fourth grade homeroom teachers for the 2020-2021 school year. Primary job responsibilities include teaching language arts, social studies, and math to fourth graders. Rich content, creative pedagogy and authentic relationships are essential components of a GDS classroom. The ability to provide those elements, work collaboratively with colleagues, and place children’s interests and experiences at the heart of the classroom are essential components of the job. Qualifications: a B.A. in elementary education or a related field is required. A master’s degree and three years or more of teaching experience at the elementary school level is preferred.
