The Department of Physician Assistant Studies in the School of Education and Health Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a non tenure-track position as Founding Principal Faculty Member in Anatomy and Physiology and Director of Research and Outcomes, beginning January, 2021. A successful candidate will support and promote the goals and objectives of the MSPAS Program, serve as Course Director of Foundations of Medical Science I-III, Evidence Based Medicine and Applied Research I-III and function as the superuser of the AnatomageTM Virtual Cadaver, demonstrating proficiency in its use and maintenance and willingness to train other School of Education and Health Science faculty in its use. Participation in technological support for High-Fidelity Mannequin Simulations and the ability to update simulation hardware and software is desirable. As Principal Faculty for the MSPAS program, expectations would be to also participate in admissions, mentoring, academic advisement, capstone advisement, student assessment and assistance in the maintenance of ARC-PA Standards. As Director of Research and Outcomes, a successful candidate will facilitate the programmatic self-study process for faculty, staff and students in accordance with ARC-PA standards. The candidate must hold a terminal degree in a related field and have experience teaching graduate students in this area, preferably physician assistant students. Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Experience with the AnatomageTM Virtual Cadaver use and knowledge of its software is critical, as well as fluency in anatomy laboratory management and simulation technology. Administrative function includes assistance with the accreditation process related to programmatic self-study and future programmatic research interests as Director of the Research and Outcomes Committee. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.
