• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field.  Master’s degree preferred
• Background in Life Science or medicine preferred
• A minimum of three years of experience teaching at the Middle School level, with proven mastery in effectively delivering content
• Core knowledge of the development of middle-school children and a proven ability to connect content with students’ interests and passions
• Passion for and experience with integrating technology into the curriculum
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, academically-sound lessons
• A collegial attitude and demonstrated ability to work in teams
• Eagerness to grow professionally and remain current within the field
