Fay’s strategic planning process is taking place during the 2019-2020 school year. The Assistant Teacher is a 10-month part-time position reporting directly to the Principal and working closely with a Lead Teacher. Passionate about working with elementary aged students, the Assistant Teacher supports the daily activities of a class. They further the vision of the Lead Teacher by maintaining high expectations for children and providing consistency. The Assistant Teacher develops relationships with students and fosters learning by participating in Morning Meetings, instructing students in small groups and supervising lunch and recess daily. Additionally, the Assistant Teacher assists with preparing materials, maintaining the classroom, running carpool and occasionally substitute teaching.
