Harrisburg Academy is currently seeking a dynamic, innovative, and experienced music educator to join our expert faculty and teach general music classes to preschool through middle school students. As a result of an extended maternity leave, the Academy is searching for a candidate to begin in early November and teach for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.
A strong candidate will have a background in African Drumming, Ukulele, and Guitar. The successful candidate will have a passion for sharing music, creativity, and technology with virtual and in-person students throughout the Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School divisions. This position will include working within a strong Fine and Performing Arts Department committed to enriching the school and community through innovative curriculum and performance.
Harrisburg Academy follows consistent health screening and safety protocols for on-campus learning. Daily temperature checks are taken for all individuals entering the building, and face masks are required for all teachers, students, staff, and administration. Students are socially distanced in our classrooms and common areas according to PDE and CDC guidelines and our cleaning staff sanitizes our classrooms and common areas daily.
Current State Police, Child Abuse, FBI clearances, a physical and a TB test are required for employment. The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 16.
