The Lead lower elementary teacher will lead their own in-person classroom in partnership with our other lower elementary classroom teacher. Responsibilities include teaching Montessori math, reading and writing workshops, culture, and science units. Looking for an energetic and patient teacher who has demonstrated the ability to effectively teach and bring creativity into an elementary classroom. At Daycroft we have a close-knit community where teachers help one another, partner with one another, and support one another in helping our students.
Create an engaging learning environment that fosters student interest and independence.
Deliver differentiated lessons to meet students in their learning process.
Work collaboratively with our specialty teachers to build upon classroom lessons in math, geography, culture and reading & writing.
Meet weekly with elementary staff to discuss curriculum and projects.
Give written comments back on student’s work in a timely manner.
Attend faculty meetings and participate in lunch recess activities.
Experience and Professional Competencies
Experienced Montessori trained teacher with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Lower Elementary Montessori Certification
A bachelor’s degree
