The University of Texas Golf Club is looking for a talented Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic team.  This is a management position within the operation, and is one that you will be tested and challenged daily.  You will have a direct reporting line to the Golf Course Superintendent, but will work alongside the Sr. Assistant Superintendent, 1st Assistant, and the rest of the management team.  In this role you will have a direct impact on all golf course maintenance operations and be expected to perform at a high level in a very challenging climate.

This position will be a learning position.  But, your leadership skills will be challenged and forged as well.  You will be expected to lead small and large crews, but also be a follower when necessary.  Leadership is fluid, and you must know your role in every situation.  The Assistant Superintendent will aid in the development and leadership of an assistant-in-training (AIT), eighteen full-time turf technicians, Arborist team and seasonal interns.  We are seeking individuals with high mental and physical aptitude.  We want thinkers, innovators, and ones that can solve problems efficiently and effectively.  The individual chosen will be held to a high standard of excellence, and develop with the team and within the operation before moving on to a superintendent position of their own.  The Club, and myself want nothing more than to mentor up-and-coming talent that have their goals set on becoming a successful golf course superintendent.
