Good Shepherd Episcopal School seeks a collaborative individual to teach, enrich, and reinforce the Prekindergarten grade level/subject curriculum while caring for the whole child. The Prekindergarten Teacher will plan, supervise, and implement the program for the Prekindergarten class in accordance with the policies, curriculum, and philosophy of the school and treat each child with dignity and respect. The Teacher will provide not only for each child’s academic needs, but also help develop social and emotional maturity. In addition, the Prekindergarten Teacher will assess and monitor student progress, maintain an orderly classroom, and revise and update the curriculum as necessary. He or she will provide report cards that include written comments, review student assessments, and implement individual strategies for learning, as well as send timely proactive and regular communication to parents.  

The Prekindergarten Teacher will act as a mentor to new teachers, attend all required meetings and public-relations events, and participate in school committees and in extra-curricular activities as required.  He or she will uphold and support the mission of the Episcopal Church and the school, meet all teacher expectations and duties as outlined in the Employee Manual, and collaborate with colleagues while maintaining a positive team attitude.
