Kent Place School is seeking a mathematics teacher to inspire upper school school girls to develop their interests in math and pursue futures in STEM fields. We seek individuals who enjoy collaboration with colleagues, demonstrate the personal initiative to innovate in their teaching practice, and who are interested in growing as a teacher and teacher-leader. Candidates should have a keen interest in using math to investigate and answer interdisciplinary questions in both the natural and social sciences. The candidate would join a math department committed to lesson study and the use of assessment to develop girls’ love of learning, confidence, and mathematical proficiency. Candidates with all levels of mathematics teaching experience will be considered; teaching experience in Advanced Algebra and Multivariable Calculus a plus, a Master’s degree in academic field or in Teaching, and the ability to teach different math courses are desired.
