Dana Hall is seeking an experienced, full-time Upper School English teacher to serve as a sabbatical replacement from January to June 2021. Responsibilities will include 2 sections of Advanced Placement English Literature, 2 sections of ninth-grade English, and participating as needed in the co-curricular life of the school.

The ideal candidate will possess most or all of these qualifications:
Experience teaching high school English
Post-secondary degree in English or closely related field
Commitment to academic vigor
Experience and comfort teaching both in-person and remotely
Enthusiasm for incorporating non-western literature into the curriculum
Readiness to employ a variety of pedagogical approaches for a variety of learning styles
Interest in using technology thoughtfully and creatively to enhance teaching and learning (Dana Hall School is a 1:1 iPad school)
Dedication to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Flexibility and collaborative spirit in working with department members and colleagues across disciplines
