The Lower School visual arts teacher will facilitate students in the exploration and discovery of many different art venues. Students will be introduced to famous artists, styles, and movements in art history, and skills will be developed using different media and tools. The art experience will be enhanced as it collaborates with drama, STEAM, religion, music and homeroom classes. Using their imaginations and creativity to solve problems, the students will develop into 21st century critical thinkers. While developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and faculty members, the lower school teacher will recognize and coach the social-emotional needs of each student.

About St. Francis Episcopal School
At St. Francis Episcopal School, we educate boys and girls from Pre-Primary through eleventh grade. In their time here, children advance through critical stages in the development of language, attention span, social skills, and problem-solving capabilities. They build study habits, self-discipline, and strengths in abstract thinking. They internalize values that will always stay with them and graduate as poised, confident young leaders.
We see the chance to guide children through these important years as a remarkable educational opportunity, and we apply best practices for engaging them during each phase of their growth. We offer an innovative, research-based curriculum; nationally acclaimed faculty; small classes; and a remarkable degree of personal attention.
We love our work and the children we teach, and we find that this spirit inspires a true love of learning in our students.
