Harbor Day School is seeking a long-term substitute first grade teacher beginning in March 2021. A teaching credential and/or graduate degree in Elementary Education and three years of teaching experience are recommended. Candidates must demonstrate a strong knowledge of elementary level language arts, math, and social studies. Experience with Reading and Writing Workshop and Singapore math is preferred. Strong communication skills with parents and students and the ability to collaborate with other members of the faculty are a must. Solid knowledge of technology and experience using Zoom is required. All grades in kindergarten through fifth are made up of two classes of 22 students each. In first grade, the lead teacher is supported by a credentialed associate teacher.
