The 3rd-Grade Interim Teacher will partner with a newly remote 3rd-Grade Teacher, working with them to fulfill Trevor’s mission, educational philosophy, and practice for a pod of 6-8 in-person students. They will also partner with the existing 3rd-Grade Faculty and the Administration to plan and implement Trevor’s hybrid learning program.
Job responsibilities, in part, include:
Working closely with the 3rd-Grade Remote and In-person team to plan lessons and tailor instruction to meet students’ individual needs, based on classroom scope and sequence
Collaborating closely with grade-level teachers and specialists regarding grade-level curriculum, and student progress and assessments
Coordinating with the school faculty, families, and outside support specialists to best support student growth
Communicating student progress and goals through family conferences, home reports, parent meetings, and emails
Ideal candidates should possess:
A Bachelor’s Degree in education and a minimum of one year’ experience in the classroom at the 2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-grade level
Knowledge of language arts, math and social studies content at the 3rd-grade level
Some experience in using technology to enable distance learning
Ability to teach to a range of learning styles and comfortable with differentiated instruction
Strong written and verbal skills
Passion for the subject matter and for the craft of teaching
Curiosity, collaboration skills, flexibility, and a sense of humor
