St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School seeks a dynamic Visual Arts Teacher with a commitment to Middle and Upper School arts education in a boarding/day school with a diverse and welcoming Episcopal environment. This is a 10-month, full-time position and reports to the Academic Dean. Outstanding candidates will be self-directed, possess exceptional rapport-building skills, have a generally upbeat and SAS strives to build a community of individuals and families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, cultures, races, religions, and sexual orientations to prepare our students to live in and serve a diverse and multicultural society. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Applicants with prior teaching experience, boarding school experience, experience with community arts programs, outdoor education, and/or athletic coaching will be given special consideration. |
Additional Salary Information: This is a full-time, academic year position. Salary is dependent on education and experience; teachers are given salary credit for teaching experience. Benefits include a tuition remission plan, health and dental insurance, worker’s compensation, short-term and long-term disability, group life insurance, defined contribution retirement plan, and eligibility for grants for professional enrichment and continuing education.
