Position/Title: Upper School Mathematics Teacher – Long Term Substitute Appointment: Mid-January for approximately four weeks Reports To: Director of the Upper School

Position Summary We are seeking one or more long-term substitute teachers to join the Upper School Math Department from mid-January for a minimum of four weeks to cover a leave of absence. The primary focus of this position will be covering Honors Algebra 2, Calculus, and AP Calculus AB. The ideal candidate will possess a solid working knowledge of technology necessary for online curriculum design and classroom presentation and management. As a long-term substitute, you’ll become an integral part of Laurel’s educational team, increasing your teaching expertise while maximizing the learning experience for students! The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics or a related field. Minimum of five years of teaching experience at the upper school level preferred. The successful candidate will also possess a positive attitude, excellent written and verbal skills, strong organizational skills, and proven success within a work setting that requires collaboration, cooperation, and collegiality. The candidate must possess or acquire and maintain a State of Ohio issued teaching certificate. The school welcomes the opportunity to continue to find ways to diversify our faculty.
