Greens Farms Academy seeks an Upper School Spanish teacher to fill a temporary long-term substitute position from March 1, 2021 through the end of the school year in June of 2021. The course load will consist of 4 sections of in-person instruction in Upper School Spanish classes. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish, have several years of experience teaching the language, and a passion for working with adolescents. GFA’s World Languages Program is composed of four languages: Spanish, French, Mandarin and Latin. The program is vertically aligned, based on ACTFL’s proficiency level descriptors and targets. The department is committed to target-language immersion as a means of instruction, and innovative pedagogical strategies to sustain student engagement and to foster the ability to interact in the target language. The long-term substitute Spanish teacher would join a team of collaborative language teachers who play a critical role in each level of proficiency in the student's journey to the most advanced level possible at GFA.
