Brownell Talbot, founded in 1863, is a Nebraska state-approved preschool through grade 12 school. Be the “go to” person for any faculty absences, faculty coverage at all levels - Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools.
Implementation of daily lessons, delivery of assignments.
In collaboration with other faculty, help coordinate and monitor students learning in a distance learning environment.
Passionate about teaching and developing quality rapport with students, faculty, and staff.
Commitment to global understanding and supporting international mindedness.
Commitment to student learning.
Timely and proactive communication with parents about student progress.
Collaboration with other members of the faculty, administration, and staff on experiential, interdisciplinary, and community-based opportunities that add to the school community.
Active participation in and engagement with the school community.
Effective and timely communication with various school constituencies in person, through email, and voicemail.
Commitment to professional development and continuous learning, especially job-embedded learning.
Support of divisional and school-wide initiatives through committee work, where appropriate.
Supervision and participation in occasional non-academic activities, including lunch, study hall, and carpool arrival and dismissal.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree and be eligible for a Nebraska teaching certificate. The successful candidate will also possess a positive attitude, excellent written, and verbal skills, strong organizational skills, and proven success within a work setting that requires collaboration, cooperation, and collegiality. The candidate must possess or acquire and maintain a State of Nebraska-issued teaching certificate.
