Lakeview Academy is seeking an experienced, dynamic, student-centered mathematics teacher for our Middle/Upper schools. Qualified candidates must be able to utilize a variety of teaching methods and tools to educate students in the foundations of mathematics, and the development of problem-solving and logical reasoning skills. Experience teaching Algebra I and Geometry is strongly desired, as well as overall proficiency in (or the ability to learn) current and emerging technologies as they relate to mathematics classroom.  

Duties: 

• Actively teach and create lessons for three classes of Algebra I (8th grade) and three classes of Geometry (9th grade), in-person and remote classes. 
• Develop lessons that are engaging and grade level appropriate 

• Communicate with parents and students regularly 
• Collaborate with other mathematics teachers to maintain continuity of curriculum throughout middle school  
• Duties begin August 2021 
• Position is based on ten-month contract
