Now Hiring Group Leaders and Aides for Preschool and K-5th Grade After School Program Do you love working with children? Do you love working in a multilingual, multicultural environment? The Global Kids Extended-day Program at The International School, an independent school located in downtown Portland Oregon, is hiring Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders (Aides) to work with our Early Childhood (3 and 4 year olds) and K-5th Grade students daily after school. Pay Rate: Group Leader: $15.75-$17/hour, Depending on experience Assistant Group Leader- Aide: $14-$15/hour, Depending on experience Schedule: Typical schedules are listed below. Actual schedule and weekly hours to be determined by Global Kids Manager and program needs.

3:15-5:45pm Monday- Friday on school days plus one hour weekly for staff meetings Location: South Waterfront area of downtown Portland- easily accessible by freeways, public transit, and bicycle. Walking distance from PSU and OHSU. Parking passes are provided. General Summary: Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders (Aides) are part-time positions reporting to the Global Kids Program Manager. Group Leaders lead or assist a group of up to 20 students in the Global Kids Extended-day Program at The International School. Group Leaders plan fun and engaging enrichment activities for their students and lead or assist in leading their assigned group throughout the program activities including pick up from school, outdoor play, snack, enrichment activities, and dismissal. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to health screening, sanitizing, taking attendance, planning and implementing lessons, managing classroom behavior using positive strategies. All staff are expected to create a safe, welcoming, child-friendly environment; ensuring that children are supervised 100% of the time they are at Global Kids Program. Staff are also expected to communicate effectively and positively with students, families, supervisors, school staff, and other community members. COVID-19: All staff are expected to follow the Operational Blueprint of The International School as well as the Oregon Early Learning Division and Oregon Department of Education guidelines for keeping children, staff, and families safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Oregon Office of Childcare: Global Kids Program is a state licensed child care center. The Global Kids Manager will guide staff in the steps necessary to comply with the state license, which can be completed upon hire. Preferred Qualifications:
