The Upper School English Teacher is expected to share his or her passion for reading and writing in engaging and meaningful ways and to challenge students to relate their learning to other disciplines and to the world in which they live. The Upper School English Teacher also serves as an advisor, developing personal connections with a group of student advisees. In addition, the Upper School English Teacher contributes to the school’s rich extracurricular program and participates actively in the life of our learning community. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s degree in the content area (advanced degree preferred). Experience: At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience in the content area with Upper School students. Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience may be considered in place of the above requirements. |
