We are currently seeking an Upper School Visual Arts teacher with the ability and flexibility to teach an occasional middle school elective; the position is 1/2 to 3/4 time (two to three classes per semester) beginning in the fall of 2021. Teaching experience is required. Strong candidates will have a degree in Visual Arts, Art History, Architecture or another relevant discipline. A background in studio art with an emphasis on and experience teaching Drawing, Painting and Art History is preferred. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion work, an understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life, and an interest in using a variety of pedagogical approaches in the classroom are essential. The ability to use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process is necessary.
