The Diocese of Colorado Springs is seeking a qualified candidate for Superintendent to provide leadership by developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of diocesan Catholic Schools. The successful candidate must demonstrate skills in leadership, planning, interpersonal relationships and collaboration, and possess excellent communication skills. Candidate must have advanced knowledge of effective educational systems, curricula, philosophy, and trends; demonstrated support and advocacy of the advancement of Catholic Schools; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and excellent interpersonal, human relations, and conflict resolution skills. Candidate must have the ability to support collaborative efforts with school pastors, the ability to effectively supervise professional employees, and advanced understanding of Catholic theology and teaching. Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree in education, school administration or related field; Ed.D. or Ph.D. degree preferred. Advanced understanding of Catholic theology and teaching. Experience: Five years teaching experience and five years of experience as a principal; a portfolio of successful leadership, preferably in a Catholic school setting. Must be Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church. |
Additional Salary Information: Portion of health insurance paid by employer for employee and qualified dependents. Short and long term disability paid by employer.
