Job Summary:

Francis W. Parker School is a renowned JK-12^th grade independent day school. Founded in 1901 on the tenets of progressive education, the school currently enrolls 935 students and employs 200 dedicated faculty and staff members who, in addition to assistant teachers, substitute teachers and coaches, work together to ensure that the School lives up to its Mission to “educate students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a diverse, democratic society and global community.”

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced substitute Lower and Intermediate School Learning Resource Teacher to cover a leave of absence, working in classrooms, small group, and one-on-one settings. The Learning Resources Program aims to support students with learning differences through mainstream classroom environments. The substitute teacher will coordinate with 3^rd and 4^th grade classroom teachers in order to support students and communicate, on an ongoing basis, student growth and progress with parents, teachers, and Lower and Intermediate School administrators.

The work schedule for the substitute teacher is as follows:

• April 1 – April 2, 2021 (cross-training)
• April 12 – June 15, 2021
