First Grade Teacher
Fayetteville Academy
There is an opening for a full time First Grade Teacher at Fayetteville Academy beginning Fall 2021. The position’s primary responsibility will be the instruction of a first grade classroom at the Lower School Level. The successful candidate will possess experience in elementary education, reading/grammar/math instruction, curriculum development, differentiated instruction and the use of technology to enhance instruction. Problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, sense of humor, enthusiasm, and collaboration are also important for this position. Effective communication with students, parents, colleagues, and active participation in the expectations of this grade level are essential.

The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree (with a master’s degree preferred) and at least three-five years teaching experience. Independent school experience is preferable. Fayetteville Academy actively seeks candidates who participate in the life of the school and possess strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration. He/she should be a self-directed individual who is solution oriented, flexible, and works well with teams and individuals while possessing a positive attitude.
