Fayetteville Academy seeks a dynamic math teacher for the 2021-2022 school year.  The successful applicant will teach five sections per day, including Honors Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Honors Pre-Calculus, and supervise a study hall and an advisory group. 

Duties Include:

  • Create and deliver engaging lessons following the school’s mathematics curriculum 
  • Help students develop critical-thinking abilities by gaining an understanding of mathematical concepts 
  • Maintain up-to-date lesson plans and gradebooks
  • Be available for student extra-help during the assigned extra help period after school
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, colleagues, staff, and administration 
  • Attend math department, divisional, and full faculty meetings as scheduled 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, or a related field required - Master’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with TI graphing calculators, Desmos online graphing calculator, or other graphing device required
  • Familiarity with Google Apps for Education, including Classroom, preferred
  • Teaching experience at the high school level preferred
  • Independent School experience preferred
