| Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Upper School Science Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. The position is an exempt, full-time, 10th month position. Experience teaching Advanced Placement courses are preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record focusing on an inquiry-based approach, teaching experience, and successfully pass a criminal background check. This position will report directly to the Upper School Head. Maryvale, a Catholic independent girls' school serving grades six through 12, affiliated with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, provides an environment in which each student can reach her academic, spiritual, physical and civic potential in a loving, supportive and diverse community. Responsibilities include: - Possibly teach Chemistry, AP Biology, Forensic Science, or an upper level science elective
- Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program
- Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred; MSDE certification preferred - Experience working in an independent school setting preferred
