The Speech and Debate Teacher is part of a larger Upper School faculty team dedicated to working together with students in a highly interactive and collaborative learning environment that inspires inquiry and an enduring love of learning, and is expected to challenge students to relate their learning to other disciplines and to the world in which they live. The Speech and Debate Teacher serves as a co-director of a nationally competitive speech and debate program, overseeing all elements of that program, including recruiting students to the team, coaching students, and accompanying students to local, regional and national tournaments. The Speech and Debate Teacher is active in the life of our learning community. START DATE: July 2021

JOB REQUIREMENTS Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in the content area (advanced degree preferred). Experience: At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience in the content area with secondary students. Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience may be considered in place of the above requirements.
