Blue School seeks an experienced, collaborative 2nd grade teacher who brings intelligence, creativity and knowledge of the teaching of literacy and mathematics to the classroom. Blue school is committed to rich inquiry and project-based learning. We are looking for a teacher with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a 2nd grade teacher. The candidate should have an advanced degree and extensive experience in creating integrated studies based on children’s interests and questions. The 2nd grade teacher should have a solid understanding of all the components of balanced literacy and have the ability to teach a range of learners. The individual must be comfortable communicating with parents within a vital, growing learning community. Job Description:
