Summary of Essential Duties:

Friends Academy, Independent Quaker Day School, PS-12th grade is seeking a full-time Middle School Spanish Teacher for the Fall, 2021, School Year, 2021-2022. The successful candidate will teach grade-level Spanish classes for grades 5-8. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and delivering instruction using an oral proficiency model. A full-time faculty position, this role includes serving as an advisor for 10-12 students and supporting a co-curricular activity by coaching a sport or advising a major school activity. All faculty members are expected to support activities and events that contribute to the life of the school and to attend departmental, divisional and all-school staff meetings and other duties as assigned. 

Education & Experience:

An undergraduate degree in Spanish, Spanish education, or a similar discipline is required, and a graduate degree is preferred.  We seek candidates with at least three to five years of successful independent school teaching experience.
