| Estero Country Club is looking for a highly motivated Assistant Superintendent to closely work with the Golf Course Superintendent in all aspects of golf course and clubhouse maintenance. Estero Country Club is an 18-hole, member owned, private golf club with only 340 members located in beautiful Estero, Florida. The club recently completed a $4 million entire golf course renovation in 2018. Our membership is passionate about the game of golf and we strive to provide the best playing surface. We are also designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to receive agronomic training, career development and extensive warm season turfgrass experience under the mentorship of the Golf Course Superintendent. Under the Superintendent’s supervision, the Assistant Superintendent directs and participates in the daily golf course maintenance, management practices, supervision of crew, daily scheduling, training, application of chemicals and fertilizer, water monitoring and communication. The Assistant Superintendent may serve in the Superintendent’s capacity during his absence. Essential Functions: - Assist in the daily assignments of tasks and discuss work schedule with Superintendent, Turf equipment technicians and other team members.
- Direct, mentor, train and evaluate all team members.
- Conduct daily inspections of turf conditions, equipment operation and standard operating procedures.
- Supervise all pesticide and fertilizer applications including calibration of equipment and proper documentation of applications.
- Be able to operate, supervise and provide training and documentation of training for all team members on all equipment associated with our department.
- Interacts with other departments as needed.

- Attendance and punctuality are critical due to the scope of responsibilities and impact on other positions and department.
