Roland Park Country School, a K-12, independent girls’ school, is seeking a full-time elementary homeroom teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. Primary responsibilities include planning and implementing the core subjects of math, reading, writing and social studies. Our practices at RPCS include the Responsive Classroom approach and the Investigations math program, and experience with either is desirable. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member, possess strong written and oral communication skills, and demonstrate flexibility and creativity. RPCS has a strong commitment to culturally responsive teaching and to understanding and supporting diverse attitudes, beliefs and behaviors. Teachers engage students in learning through a variety of teaching methodologies and innovative, relevant classroom experiences. Candidates should have 3-5 years of teaching experience at the elementary level. A bachelor’s degree is required, and master’s degree is preferred.
