Middle School English Language Arts Teacher St. Francis School is a co-ed, non-denominational Independent School founded in the Progressive tradition. Our campuses are in two locations -- Goshen (Preschool-8th Grade) and Downtown Louisville (High School). We seek an innovative Middle School English Language Arts Teacher for the 2021-22 school year. Additional responsibilities include Advisory and other daily duties; the ability/willingness to coach athletic and/or academic teams is also a plus. We require a BS/BA in Education or English or a related degree -- an MAT or MA in a related field is also a plus -- and a minimum of five years’ experience as a Middle School Teacher. Successful candidates have a passion for working with Middle School students, and an understanding of differentiated instruction, personalized learning, and trauma-informed practices. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, the ability and desire to work collaboratively, and dedication to continuously developing and practicing cultural competence in one’s teaching are also essential. |
