St. Alphonsus Catholic School is seeking a principal beginning in the 2021-2022 academic school year. We are an accredited Catholic School that welcomes families of all backgrounds.
Founded in 1907, St. Alphonsus Parish School is one of the oldest Catholic elementary schools in Washington. As such, we have a rich history of offering the families of Ballard and the surrounding community an excellent Catholic education for Preschool through 8th Grade. Our deep sense of community is fostered by our dedicated staff and committed parents, resulting in a safe, nurturing environment for our students. We develop the whole student in a caring environment, supported by the faith of the Church and commitment of families.
We seek a faith-inspired, energetic, proactive, and collaborative principal to join us in our mission to provide an exceptional faith-based academic education for our students. Ideal candidates are highly effective communicators and creative problem solvers who are enthusiastic about addressing the challenges of providing access to Catholic education for all, while also assisting in securing and maintaining a stable financial position so that our school will continue to grow and thrive in the future. All candidates must be practicing Catholics and hold a current Washington State Principal Credential (or similar credential). Candidates should be able to successfully assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation, administration of the school and building our school community. They should be prepared to work closely with the pastor, the Parish Administrator, Advisory School Commission and school parents as well as working with their fellow principals and the Archdiocesan School Office to ensure the vitality of our school.
