| Upper School History Teacher `Iolani School seeks a full-time Upper School History teacher for the 2021-22 academic year to teach US History, History of the Modern World, or our Advanced Placement Government and US History electives. The position requires ongoing collaboration with teaching teams at the course and grade level. In addition to being active participants in our vibrant learning community, we are looking for educators who will inspire and support our students. The ideal candidate is dynamic, a strong communicator (both written and oral) and committed to professional growth in their discipline and teaching practice. An advanced degree in teaching, history or a related academic discipline is preferred. Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of teaching experience and be comfortable designing and executing curriculum as part of a teaching team and embrace the use of instructional technology. 'Iolani School has many extracurricular opportunities available for those looking to extend their work beyond the classroom, including, but not limited to: participation in our residential life program, coaching athletic and/or academic student teams, and serving as an adviser in our advisory program.
