TITLE: Mini Middle / Middle School Bridge Teacher REPORTS TO: Director of Learning Services and Associate Head of School DEPARTMENT: Bridge STATUS: 10-month, exempt position PURPOSE OF POSITION: The job of a Bridge teacher at Atlanta Academy has many components. The Bridge teacher works with classroom teachers and division heads to plan and provide intervention and accommodations to students with documented learning disabilities. Core responsibilities for this position include working with students to provide intervention in literacy and working with classroom teachers to support their instruction. The Bridge teachers will work and plan together as a team to provide services to students. Data about students’ literacy and math skills will be the primary driver for the development of plans for academic intervention and support.
