Interim Superintendent Ron Koehler will guide the district through the end of June 2021, when the Board of Education expects the next superintendent to assume duties.

Selection Criteria/Candidate Profile
Minimum of a Masters Degree. Advanced degrees are highly valued.
Administrative certification, or the ability to obtain administrative certification in Michigan
Employment Background, Experience and Professional Skills
Five or more years of successful, effective leadership experience, preferably in an executive position in K-12 or an ISD, but other candidates with exemplary credentials will be considered
Thorough understanding of the role of an intermediate school district and the services and programs provided
Evidence of commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion; and improving educational outcomes for marginalized students
Has successfully led collaborative, strategic planning involving staff and others (who do not report to the organization)
Has worked in or has clear understanding of the uniqueness of rural, urban and suburban districts
