Candidates should also embrace involvement in the community, promote student engagement and empowerment, seek ongoing professional development, and value authentic collaboration with other faculty and staff to advance the school’s mission and strategic vision. Curricularly, successful candidates should have a background in Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus, and they should also be interested in building curricular connections with our local community. A quick note about COVID and the 20-21 school year. Kingswood Oxford has worked hard to establish and maintain health and safety protocols that allow students to learn in-person for as long as possible. We are still learning on campus as of January, with some concurrent teaching for students who have chosen remote learning. For the purposes of this search, we are expecting and planning for a “return to normal” with in-person schooling in Fall 2021. However, if our nation’s progress in the fight against COVID is not as timely as we all are hoping, we may offer remote teaching options for teachers with demonstrated medical needs.
