Westfield Friends School is seeking a full-time Middle School Humanities Teacher for the 2021-22 school year. Westfield Friends School seeks culturally competent educators with a demonstrated commitment to and ongoing professional development in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice which is evidenced in their personal and professional interactions, curriculum, and pedagogy. Building on this foundation, the Middle School Humanities Teacher is a core faculty position which involves teaching three Language Arts classes and one other subject depending on candidate strengths and school needs. This teacher will be the homeroom teacher/class adviser for one grade. Preference will be given to qualified applicants with additional experience teaching differentiated learners and those with experience in distance and hybrid learning. Fluency in Spanish or Chinese and/or comfort in Algebra1 level math are pluses though not requirements.
