Lower School Technology Teacher (2021-2022)

CA seeks a full-time, faculty position effective August 2021. The primary role of this position is to teach technology in the Lower School and provide professional development for teachers in the effective use of technology.
The LS Technology Teacher will work with students in PreK-5th grade and will instruct them in the appropriate use of computers, devices and the ethical use of information and Internet safety, and will teach from curricula that includes coding, making, digital citizenship, and keyboarding. They must plan and team teach lessons for individual classes, as well as provide support for ongoing projects with specific technology instruction which will include ongoing guidance and training for teachers in the effective use and integration of technology in their classrooms.. Regular collaboration with classroom teachers to ensure the technology program is fully integrated into the school’s curriculum will be essential. This person will also provide professional development on technology, and work with the Director of Technology to plan professional development for faculty and staff. They will work with colleagues to develop a continuum of STEM skills that is developmentally appropriate at each grade level and support activities that ensure that students have those skills. The LS Technology Teacher will participate fully as a member of the Lower School faculty and the technology team, including faculty and technology department meetings. This position reports to the Director of Technology, but will also work closely with the Lower School Principal.

A successful candidate will:
The pay range for the position is $50,000-$70,000. Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any discrepancies that may exist do not relate to sex.
