Palm Beach Day Academy, established in 1921, is an independent coeducational school, serving students from age 2 to Grade 9 on two campuses. The foundation of PBDA’s program is the education of our students in an academically challenging and compassion-rich environment that guides each child toward personal excellence of mind, body and character. At all levels, our students will be, as our mission states, challenged to excel, empowered to act, and prepared to lead. The Lower Campus, which houses students age two years old – Grade 3, seeks a talented and energetic full-time Pre-Primary (ages 2-3) or Primary (ages 3-5) teacher for the 2020-2021 school year.
The successful candidate will plan and implement the curriculum using a variety of teaching approaches with a co-teaching model. Flexibility, creativity, a sense of humor, strong work ethic and a commitment to be a strong team member are all critically important.
All applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the Preschool/Elementary level is preferred, excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as comfort with integrating technology into the curriculum. Forty hours of introductory childcare training preferred.
