Renbrook School (West Hartford, CT), an independent day school for children age three to grade eight, is currently seeking a warm, experienced, and innovative Lower School (grades 1-4) Spanish teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. This is a one year position.
Reports to: Lower School Division Head
Teach in alignment and support of the mission and values of Renbrook School.
Design lessons that are active and interactive; and teach units and educational experiences in collaboration with other grade-level teachers, subject specialist teachers, and learning specialists.
Use effective and positive teacher language to promote academic and social growth, as well as rapport with every student.
Use differentiation to meet the needs of various levels of learners.
Communicate with families on an as needed basis to provide feedback about behavior and academic needs.
Write report cards for three trimesters.
Communicate with colleagues and families (in both written and verbal form) in a highly professional and collaborative manner.
The review of candidates will begin immediately with an expected start date of August 23, 2021.
