The Board of Trustees of the DiGiorgio School District is seeking a Superintendent/Principal with strong school district and community leadership skills who is committed to academic excellence for all students.
The Superintendent/Principal shall serve as the educational leader and Chief Administrator for the district. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with exceptional communications skills who, along with the Board, will collaboratively lead the District to an academically exceptional and fiscally stable future.
The District has an ADA of approximately 200 students in K-8 grades, participating in many federal and state categorical programs to enhance the educational programs. Parents, teachers, and administrators are involved in the assessment of program effectiveness and ongoing program development.
Appropriate Administrative credential.
Master’s degree in Administration/Education from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of three years successful elementary teaching experience.
Previous school site and/or district-level administrative experience required.

DiGiorgio School District serves K-8 students in the community of Arvin and the surrounding rural agricultural areas. A large number of migratory workers are employed in the area during seasonal harvest time. The district is located between Lamont and Arvin, approximately 20 miles southeast of Bakersfield, California.
